TOWN COUNCIL
(2 year term)

All 5 seats are open to be voted on.
You do NOT need to choose 5 candidates, you need only choose UP TO and including 5.

SCHOOL COMMITTEE
(4 year term)

4 of 5 seats are open to be voted on.
You do NOT need to choose 4 candidates, you need only choose UP TO and including 4.

**Due to an early member resignation who did not fulfill the first half of the term, one spot will only complete the rest of that term (2 years). Therefore, of the 4 highest vote getters, the 4th highest will only serve a 2 year term.

Please take the time to research the candidates before heading to the polls.

EARLY VOTING NOTICE

Early voting will take place at the Municipal Office Building, located at 100 Fairway Drive, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Early voting ends at the 4:00 p.m. deadline on Monday, November 4, 2024.

The Board of Canvassers will be registering ALL NEW VOTERS in the Town of North Kingstown at the Municipal Office Building, 100 Fairway Drive, North Kingstown for the General Election to be held on November 5, 2024.

The DEADLINE for new voters to register to be eligible to vote in the GENERAL ELECTION is Sunday, October 6, 2024.  The Board of Canvassers office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
AND
The Board of Canvassers will be open Sunday, October 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Voters who have moved from one address to another within the Town of North Kingstown or voters who have changed their names since the last election should have their records updated as required by state law.

MAIL BALLOTS

Mail Ballot Applications for the GENERAL ELECTION are available until 4:00 P.M. ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2024.  Emergency Mail Ballot Applications are available on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2024 through 4:00 P.M. on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2024

Reminder

Under the state’s new Voter ID law, poll workers will ask you for ID when you vote at the polls. Acceptable forms of ID’s are:

  • RI driver’s license
  • U.S. Passport
  • ID card issued by U.S educational institution
  • U.S military identification card
  • State of Rhode Island or U.S government issued ID card
  • Government issued medical card
  • Rhode Island Voter Identification Card
