Additional Info:
• I worked at various youth summer camps during my high school and college summers.
• I worked at Bright Horizons Daycare in Boston during one summer in college.
• As a teacher, I also took on the roles of soccer coach, ski club moderator, dance chaperone, SAT proctor, and chaperoned a service trip to Tijuana to build houses and structures.
• I have studied abroad in Spain and participated in a 3 week service trip to central Mexico.
• I have tutored both children and adults in Spanish and taught a few Spanish classes for the Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds Program at Stony Lane.
• I was part of a group of moms who advocated for and helped to bring full-day Kindergarten to our district beginning in 2015.
• I have been a staunch advocate for the victims of Aaron Thomas and other victims of sexual abuse in our own district and across the state.
• Due to what I found to be a lack of information provided to NK residents, I started my own Facebook pages and held public, citizens meetings to try to help inform residents on issues that are/were occurring in our town.
• I was a founding member and Board member of the newly formed Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope in Warwick, which opened this past September (2023). In this role, I was a part of every single step necessary to start a school from Day One: fundraising, finding a property, organizing events, reviewing curriculum, researching education laws and policies, student recruitment, speaking with families, the media and the community at large, etc.
